and thinking, boy, some of these guys are really ugly. I mean Jeremy is no prince handsome... but then they dragged in this Chris Evans guy. Even if he was funny I just can’t look at him. I will never find out if he is funny because, I just can’t look at him. I just can’t.

Luckily their looks didn’t have much to do with the show, except when they were giving each other crap for it... if they started hiring dudes just to be easy on the eyes that’s no better than having a token booth babe.

I get that and still liked the show. I still watched it. But, I am admitting now though that this new guy... I just can’t look at him without feeling annoyed. It’s a weakness.

Per my comment yesterday, I’m not one to criticize his looks (those is glass houses.....) but I find his style particularly offensive. Say what you will about Jezza’s dad jeans or Hammond’s wacky shirts, but at least those weren’t trying to appropriate the fashions of youth culture in a bid to appear younger, like Evans is.

You know, maybe that’s it. I didn’t even realize he was oldish until you mentioned it. I’d rather see an old guy than someone trying to mascaraed as not. Maybe that’s what I found so odd looking.

Idk, it’s just distressed low rise jeans/leather jacket combo on a 50 yo man is simultaneously garish and pitiful, as if he’s trying to recapture a squandered youth or relive some glory days. Then again, I don’t think we would be criticizing his clothes if he looked like Paul Newman.
